Leading Private Equity Investment Firm

About Us

Stockdale Street is a private equity firm that advises the Mary Oppenheimer Family Interests (MOD) and a number of other prominent families on their direct private equity investments.

Part of the Mary Oppenheimer Daughters Group – a fourth-generation global family business.

Mary Oppenheimer is the daughter of Harry Oppenheimer, who was chairman of both Anglo American Corporation and De Beers Consolidated Mines, the world’s largest diamond company, for more than a quarter of a century until his retirement in the early 1980s. Harry’s father, Sir Ernest Oppenheimer, formed the Anglo American Corporation PLC in 1917.

Stockdale Street is named after a street in Kimberley, South Africa in which the De Beers head office was originally located.

Today, MOD has extensive investment holdings in Africa, North America, Europe and Asia. MOD is a patient, long-term and responsible investor with an intimate understanding of doing business in Africa and a commitment to furthering the socioeconomic development of the continent.
